 Second, if you're not strong and vibrant and dynamic, by having taken care of the health of your whole being, body, mind and spirit, there's not a chance that you can gain or maintain leadership of the pack. The true Alpha female glows in her extreme wellness.

 1.  NUTRITION-regular régime. 

    o       Eat right for your type

2.  EXERCISE- regular exercise, our bodies are our allies. 
o    Yoga. 
OK, OK, I know what you're thinking!  I spent many years myself making fun of the mere idea of yoga.  However, by a mere fluke, I happened into the gym at the moment that a yoga class was beginning, and they called it power yoga, and that made it        acceptable.  And I have been taking yoga ever since. It handles two things in life.  It is great exercise in itself, and it helps you recover from exercise of other varieties.  There is nothing in the world as restorative as a great class of yoga, whatever kind you prefer.

     o       Pay close attention to our bodies, the way they move. the way
       they feel, what they need, what they are best avoiding

 3.  SLEEP-regular, good, deep sleep.

 4.  BATTERY CHARGING- regularly doing the things that fill us back up with energy and passion for life.
We need time for rest, time for walks,   time for quiet, and time to tune into ourselves.  We cannot completely fill up our lives with activities and become intimate with ourselves.  And a wonderful payoff for this is that as we become more intimate with ourselves, we are capable of discovering our connection with others and with the divine.

§        meditate   § get a massage   § go for a hike                       §        use affirmations   §  listen to music 

     * On the days when we practice the four basics, we really feel good.  Not good just because we kept our word, but good, because these four basics are actually great for our beings.

·        HUMOR- keep serious passion balanced with humor .

                        Humor is one of the most important human gifts.  We need to be able to laugh
                         gently at ourselves and with others.  We need to be able to laugh out raucously
                         at life and its extenuating circumstances.

·    ENHANCING INTIMACY—friends, family, loved ones

·    OVERCOMING ADDICTION/ATTACHMENT… to people, things, 
  feelings, chemical states.
