·       Compassion-one of the tragedies of the era of women's liberation is that women were convinced to believe that we must be ruthless in order to make our way in the world.  Somehow, women came to believe that we must be more ruthless than men, in order to adequately compete with them.  The tragedy lies in the fact that ruthlessness is grounded in the loss of morality and spirituality, two of the most important motivators in human life.  We must not lose touch with the essence of being human, with our humanity.  Alpha females are able to be strong at the same time that they are in touch with their compassion and connected to other human beings.
