A Strong CORE, Self-Knowledge, Feeling

Sisters of the Heart

The foundation of the Alpha Female is grounded in both thought and feeling, spiritual connection and instinct. Our feminine instinct leads us to hold relationship to others in high esteem. We build and strengthen and embrace community.

·        Common sense.  Instinct.

·        The four internal voices which make up our 'inner expert'.

o       Head       o       Heart

o       Gut           o       Spirit

·        Feelings       “what you know in your head will not sustain you in moments of crisis….  Confidence comes from body awareness, knowing what you feel in the moment”.  "In a world that still honors logic, reason and linear-sequential thought processes, feelings are often overlooked.  But it is the very feelings which deepen our experience of life, that warn us of danger, that help us see the difference between truth and untruth, that keep us safe and sane. --- Marion Woodman

o       “ We have come to believe that we must either be cold, calculating, logical, rational women, or we must throw all thinking out the window and carry the load for all the feeling, intuitive aspects of our society…. There's nothing wrong with thinking.  It's the way we do it.  Often, when we lead with our logical, rational minds, we have not allowed them to be informed by our being and our other thought processes of intuition, attention, and awareness.  It is in the synergy among all these aspects of our mind that true thinking begins.”  Anne W. Schaef

o    Anger-anger is the primary emotion that women have been taught not to feel, not to show.  And yet, being human, we do get angry.  We get angry when no one listens to us. We get   angry when we are passed over, we get angry when we are sick or tired and don't take care of ourselves.  We get angry when we have behaved angrily, and we get angry, when others are angry at us.  It's a vicious cycle. The dance of anger is the most problematic when it is avoided or suppressed.  Secondarily, it is a problem when it is poorly expressed.

“Only the radar in our hearts can…take us home, and when it does, we return to our castles.  There we are crowned in gold, and we remember how to laugh, how to love, how to rule.”MW “The reemergence of women will bring about the healing of the world.  Electing women to positions of political power does not in itself guarantee the expression of a feminine voice in the external world. Once in power, women can be tempted to conspire with the paternalistic system that they feel has so magnanimously allowed them a place at the table.  They feel compelled to be strong men among strong men.” Marianne Williamson

What does it mean to be an alpha FEMALE?

"It means to establish territory, to find one's pack, to be in one's body with certainty and pride regardless of the body's gifts and limitations, to speak and act in one's behalf, to be aware, alert, to draw on the innate feminine powers of intuition and sensing, to come into one's cycles, to find what one belongs to, to rise with dignity, to retianas much consciousness as we can."
