Passion for Challenge and Achievement
Serenity
is all the more delicious when it is juxtaposed with adventure.
Each experience becomes the deeper, just as the brilliant colors of
autumn help us transition from the deep warmth of summer to the arid cold
of winter; just as the passing of winter orients us perfectly for the
coming of spring. This is how taking risks and being adventurous enhances
all the aspects of our lives and relationships.
·
Risks
build self-esteem . Take risks. Forgive
yourself. Acknowledge yourself. Feel
the fear and do it anyway .
·
Risks
challenge
the brain cells.
Risks
challenge
the physical being .

Human
beings thrive on drama and excitement-- however, we most often find this
on the television or in newspapers and it raises our 'fight or flight'
response without using our body, mind or spirit. In real life, we find
drama in the midst of crises-- leading from one crisis to another, putting
out fires as they occur. Rather
than invest that kind of energy into crises, doesn't it makes sense to
spend this energy to feel exhilarated in self-designed, self-esteem
enhancing adventures?

"The
longing for her (wild self) comes when one happens across someone who has
secured this wildish relationship. The longing comes when one realizes one
has given scant time to the mystic cookfire or to the dreamtime, too
little time to one's own creative life, one's life work or one's true
loves." CPE p7
